You can edit, add to, or configure complex trigger sets with the Trigger Toolbox. The initial view of this toolbox shows you the list of scenarios that will trigger your campaign. By default, you'll have the one trigger that you set up when creating your campaign.
Editing & Creating
You can add a new trigger with the "Add New Trigger" button at the bottom of the trigger list, or edit an existing one by clicking the blue edit symbol to the right of that trigger name.
While creating or editing a trigger, an edit modal appears to allow you to easily configure this trigger. A single trigger can include many combinations of conditions: Search Queries and Filters.
To add a query or filter to this trigger, simply click "Add New Query" or "Add New Filter". The most basic kind of trigger will only have one search query or one filter.
Once you're done, click "Done" at the bottom right to return to the trigger list. If you'd like to go back without saving your changes, click the "X" at the top right.
You can set up a campaign to trigger anytime a search contains a specific word.
Due to the many possible scenarios where a "contains" trigger can take effect, these types of campaigns are limited to banner content only.
To switch to this mode, click the "Advanced" checkbox to the right and select "contains" from the dropdown to the left. You can also switch back to a "is" trigger in this way.
If you have more than one trigger set up, you'll now see them all in the list of triggers. The blue line at the left of a trigger indicates that this trigger is the one currently being previewed in the product grid.
Different trigger scenarios will show different sets of products. You can switch between which one you're previewing by clicking on the trigger itself. To remove a trigger, click the grey minus symbol at the right of a trigger.
Multiple triggers involving categories / filters
Due to the complex nature of respecting products' inclusion in specific categories and filters, you cannot pin products when there are multiple triggers involving filters on a campaign.
Multiple conditions in a trigger
Complex trigger scenarios for very specific situations can be set up include more than condition in a trigger.
Remember, every single condition in a trigger must be met at the same time for it to take affect.
For example, let's say you wanted to merchandise for any customer that searched for "tops" and then used facets on the search results page to filter the products by the color "silver", and by the material "polyester". You would set up a single trigger to include all 3 of these conditions.
