To enable site site search tracking on Google Analytics, follow the steps below.
2. Select the "Admin" tab at the bottom left
3. Under the "View" column, select "View Settings"
4. Enable the "Site Search Tracking" option at the bottom of this page. An input box appears asking for your query parameter. To find this, first perform a test search on your website. Look at the URL of that page, and find the word between the question mark (?) and the first equals sign (=).
If your search URL ends something like this: /search?query=things
Then your query parameter is query. Other common parameters could include keyword, search, term, or single letters such as "s" or "q".
Once you've found your query parameter, enter it in the box and then click Save.
