Before installing SearchSpring on your site, you'll want to be sure that everything is looking and functioning as it should.
Take a look at each step below to verify and change things to match up with what you'd like. When you're comfortable with the setup of everything, you can go ahead and Install SearchSpring on your store.
2. Verify Product Information
Take a look at your product listings. Make sure the names, images, and prices on each product look correct. If there are any issues with your product listings, start a conversation with us using the "Chat" button at the top right:
3. Test out your Searches
Do some searches using the search bar at the top. Make sure that it makes sense which products are listed for each search you perform. If you have Google Analytics connected, we'll suggest some of the most popular search terms at the top right of this page for you to test out:
If search isn't functioning as you intended, you can modify your Searching options on the Searching options page. Click here to learn more about setting your Searching Options.
4. Test out your Facets
Facets are the controls that you can use on the left side of the product listing to filter down to a specific group of common products. Make sure that all of the facets you'd like to appear are there, work correctly when clicked, and that the formats look correct.
If you'd like to make any changes to your faceting bar, you can use the Faceting options page. Click here to learn more about making changes to your Facets.
5. Test out your Sorting
The Sorting box is at the top right of the product listing. Take a moment to see which options are available, and that they all work correctly.
If you'd like to make any changes to your Sort box, you can use the Sorting options page. Click here to learn more about making changes to your Sorting options.
